Volunteer

The basic needs of hospice patients are often simple. Patients are generally in their homes, in familiar and comfortable surroundings, and a compassionate listener who can attend to basic needs fills a crucial niche. Hospice volunteers provide a wide range of support to patients and their families. They can help with tasks such as running errands, providing companionship, or organizing activities for the patient.

Hospice volunteers may also take on administrative roles such as providing transportation and assisting with paperwork. By offering time, skills, and understanding, hospice volunteers make a significant difference in the lives of those facing terminal illness to find peace and comfort during a difficult time.
